I went today and picked up donations from Plano Molding and Scrap'n Tote. They are awesome donations!!!!

I've also received donations from 3 bugs in a rug, clearsnap, red lead, The Treasure Box, and a lot of other companies that I can't think of off the top of my head. LOL!

The boxes have begun to take over the house! It's getting close...and I will be working on the online version of the crop for those who can't attend!

Only a couple more months! This is the time when I start to get excited about everything. Donations and registrations are arriving and I start putting the finishing touches on everything. Hope you are planning to attend this year!

Hello All!

It's that time again! Time to register for Scrap for a Cure 2011 Edition! The Kankakee Valley Park District is once again kind enough to donate the Kankakee Civic Auditorium (803 S 8th St Kankakee IL 60901). We also have a date: March 19, 2011. Time: 11 am- 11 pm Cost: $30. All the rest of the details are the same. Dinner, Snacks, Soda, Water, Tea, Raffles, Silent Auctions, and Goodie Bags. I am excited that this will be our 6th year having this crop!!!!! I have some things in the works with some "professional" scrapbookers...We will have to see if that works out. Also, if you know of a business or person that has been effected by diabetes and would like to donate....please feel free to pass along my email address.

If you are interested in being a vendor, please email me for details.

If you would like to sit with certain people/group of people, please let me know with your registration check. I will do my absolute best to make this happen.

Also, we will be collecting cards for Operation Write Home again. (www.operationwritehome.org) These cards need to be hand made and can have NO GLITTER!!!!! If you have envelopes for them, that would be awesome. If not, that is ok too. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

I just looked through the participants entries so far. They are amazing. love them all.

The crop went well yesterday. There were 100 scrappers there and lots of food, prizes, fun...oh, and a little scrapping. I haven't even tallied the dollar amount raised yet. I was too tired last night! I will post some pictures soon!

Well, I am off to the Crop. I'm expecting a little over 100 scrappers. My dear husband has been a saint. He loaded the trucks last night, so now all we have to do is go to the venue and unload and set up. I gotta tell you, I love that man! And he MUST love me. Have a great day and Happy Scrapping!

Welcome to Scrap for a Cure! 2010 will be the first year for an online crop as well as the in person crop. I know that money is tight and traveling isn't an option for everyone, but I thought this might be a fun way for everyone to be involved.
